What’s on the Bookshelf: The Summer Experiment

If you follow my blog and Goodreads, I’m sure you’ve notice that I’m flying through about two books a week, on top of the freelance editing, but my blog has been a bit silent. Well, this summer, I decided to explore some of the YA series that are out there.
Grasping at Eternity

So far, I’ve read The Looking Glass Wars Trilogy (which I’ve blogged), The Modern Faerie Tales, Bitterblue (the sequel to Graceling), and I’m working on the House of Night, the last two books in the Hunger Games trilogy, the last two books in Sarah Rees Brennan’s demon trilogy, and City of Lost Souls. It’s a lot of books, but my goal is to write one blog to discuss the series as a whole. That means fewer blogs, and more books.

Fortunately, books are my drug of choice, and they are great for the days that I need to escape the apartment…they can go to the beach with me.

I do have some other books that I’m looking to review for you by the end of August from indie authors: Grasping at Eternity by Karen Amanda Hooper, Book of Remembrance by Tania Johansson, as well as a few books by Megg Jensen, Karly Kirkpatrick and Angela Carlie that I want to catch up on.

Also, if you’ve contacted me about a review and haven’t heard back, I have a few emails that are in my maybe stack and a few other requests that I haven’t had a chance to review yet. I make it a point to respond to inquires, so please be patient. I will let you know one way or another as soon as I have the chance.

Now, back to editing.
